Fleet Farm sent 25 gift certificates

DNR gave participants a reflective sticker for their helmet.

Clothing:

Our insurance will not cover the loss of our clothing in inventory.   We have reordered 96 hats, 24 scarves, 24 large t-shirts and 24 XL t-shirts.  After some discussion, it was motioned and carried not to order more clothing at this time.  The reason being; we have been selling clothing for some time, and the requests are slowing down, we will monitor inventory to see what is in demand.

Trail News

·        The Town of Nashville has expressed interest to opening up the Route on Pickerel Lake Road to Cty Hwy DD, on a trial basis.  After much discussion in preparation for this to possibly happen, our club has agreed to include that portion of Forest County as a portion of our trail system.  Even though our club has a very good working relationship with the Forest County ATV Association, many of the residents on and around Pickerel Lake are already members of our club.  Our obligation if the Route does open; would be signage, and our Trail Patrollers would heavily patrol the area, ensuring all ATV rules are being followed.

·        There were complaints on Lost Lake road that a yellow UTV was racing up and down the road; a request was made to better patrol the area.  Jack Andraschko has volunteered to patrol on Memorial Day weekend.

·        Steve Bailey looked at a stretch of trail north of Hummer’s campground, which is really muddy.  Steve will get in contact with Chuck Jackson to hall in fill for that area.  Hack will talk to the County Forestry Department for reimbursement.

·        Our club will reimburse the Town of Ainsworth for $78.00. To add gravel to Pickerel Lake Road in the area where the trail comes onto the blacktop.  It was brought up for future repairs, we should consider cold patch, which costs more, but will last longer.  Harlan Girtz made the motion to fix the area with cold patch, Dan Wierschke seconded the motion.  All approved and motion carried.

·        It was also noted that Pine Point Road only goes as far as West Point Road, to the dam.  There is no access direction to Pine Point Resort.

By-Laws

In accordance of our bi-laws, Jan Fischer, treasurer, had the books available for a public audit.

At the April meeting it was discussed to amend our bi-laws.  Sheila read the amended sections. Jerry Mijal made a motion to approve the amended bi-laws, Harlan Girtz seconded the motion.   All approved. Motion carried.

Amended section of bi-laws:

The new verbiage is in red with strike-through for old verbiage that no longer pertains.

New Business:

·        Our club is one of the sponsors of Hummer’s benefit (Hugs for Hummer) on Saturday, 11th at 2pm – 9pm.

o   Some of our members have been going around to area businesses asking for donations for bucket raffles.

o   It was brought up for discussion, as a token of our appreciation of Hummer providing a meeting place,  that our club present him a $500.00 check at the benefit.  Jan Fischer made the motion to present Hummer with a $500.00 check, Pat Girtz seconded the motion, all were in favor and the motion carried.

o   Sheila and Glen Yeager are going to bring their board game, (ATV Races) to the benefit.  They are looking for help running the game.

·        It was brought to our attention; our club associate members would appreciate if we could possibly include their particular businesses, either as a destination, or resting point when we have trail rides.  It was decided for future rides, we will make a more conscious effort to patronize those businesses whenever possible.

Our next club meeting will be held on June 18 at 9:00 am at Walleye Lodge.  After the meeting we will ride to White Lake for Lunch.
